Wildwood Service Opportunities

There are numerous ways you can get involved and make a positive impact within our church and the wider community. Whether it's serving with our outreach programs, lending a helping hand in our local community projects, or serving in our worship services, your contribution will play a vital role in spreading God's love.

As a member of our Serve Team, you will not only make a difference in the lives of others but also experience personal growth and spiritual enrichment. You will have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, forge new friendships, and deepen your relationship with God as you serve alongside others.

No matter your age or background, there is a place for you on our Serve Team. We believe that everyone has something valuable to offer, and we encourage you to join us as we make a positive impact on the world around us.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

The Wildwood UMC ministry team is ready to help you discover that place where your gifts and passions for ministry collide. Visit "Staff" to connect to the person who helps lead the area of ministry that most interests you. Not sure about your gifts or passion? Need help in discovering where you can serve?
Email mitzi@wildwood-umc.org to set up a time to visit with a pastor.

How do I volunteer in family ministries?

The first step in volunteering with kids and students is to visit with Jessica McMullen or Eddie Erwin. They will help you complete a process called Safe Sanctuaries because keeping our kids and students safe is a top priority. Once that process is complete, they will help you discover the joy that comes with growing the next generation of faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

How can I discover my gifts for ministry?

What if I don't enjoy where I'm serving?

Everyone has gifts for ministry. Sometimes we know those gifts, and sometimes those gifts are made known to us by other people who speak affirming words into our lives. One way to get an initial understanding of your gifts is by taking an online survey. Once you've done this, we can help you explore those gifts by serving in different ways, and reflecting upon this with a pastor.
We want you to experience joy as you serve Jesus. Sometimes our gifts and passions don't align, and we need some help finding a new place to serve. Just because you don't enjoy serving in one area doesn't mean you can't find another area of service. We don't want you to be discouraged and always look forward to helping you find a joyful and meaningful place to serve!
